PAIR-UP Advance Imaging Workshop for Black Imaging Scientists
June 13th – 16th | Time: 9AM-5PM EDT | Location: Northwestern University
The PAIR-UP Advanced Imaging Workshop is designed to provide training in the following major areas:
1. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to learn: How to use multiphoton microscopy for imaging of thick biological samples.
2. Participants will leave the workshop with firsthand knowledge of how to obtain quantitative data using each of the instruments. Image acquisition, image processing, and analysis.
Who Should Attend?
• Principal Investigator (PAIR-UP Black Imaging scientist or
personnel from the PI’s lab)
• Postdoctoral Fellow (in lab of PAIR-UP PI)
Microscopes Used:
- Nikon A1R MP
- Leica SP8 MPN
- Scientifica SliceScope 6000
Learning objectives: After completing the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Have an in-depth understanding of multiphoton workflow for tissues.
- Understand how to multiplex fluorophores for multiphoton imaging.
- Be able to distinguish and verify SHG vs other fluorescent signals.
- Quantify and visualize multiphoton data sets.
