Abstract Information
The ASCB and EMBO invite the submission of abstracts that report new scientific research developments in the areas of cell biology. Abstracts are welcome from scientists and students in all sectors, including academia, industry, government, and education.
All abstracts submitted for the 2019 ASCB|EMBO Meeting are screened to ensure they meet the minimum submission standards outlined in the guidelines. All abstracts that meet these standards are accepted*. Abstracts are not peer-reviewed, but they are able to be cited.
Abstracts will be published online ONLY prior to the meeting and published as a supplement to the ASCB journal, Molecular Biology of the Cell, in the December 15, 2019 issue. Members and nonmembers are able to submit unlimited abstracts without a member sponsor.

*If you submit by the August 1 deadline, you can choose up to four presentation options. If you select both talk and poster options, you will need to decide if you would like to give a poster if you are selected for a talk. The options are:
-
- Subgroup Talk: Your abstract will be considered for a talk in a Member-Organized Special Interest Subgroup.
- Minisymposium Talk: Your abstract will be considered for a talk in a Minisymposium.
- Microsymposium Talk: Your abstract will be considered for a talk in a Microsymposium.
- Poster: Your abstract will be considered for a poster presentation. If you select this option only, your abstract will not be reviewed for a talk.
All abstracts submitted are accepted for a poster presentation if that option is selected unless they do not meet the minimum submission standards as outlined in the guidelines. Submitting your abstract as talk only will not increase your chances of being selected for a talk.
Abstract submission is separate from meeting registration. Please register for the meeting at the conclusion of your abstract submission.
