The Faculty Research and Educational Development (FRED) Grant Writing Virtual Summer Workshop will focus on the preparation of proposals for a variety of NIH and NSF programs. The three-day interactive workshop will include structured working sessions on idea development, how to identify and recruit a grant writing mentor, and refining ideas into specific aims. Sessions will be appropriate for those who are planning on submitting a research grant and for those targeting educational and professional development related grant mechanisms.
Participants will receive a workbook from Grant Writers’ Seminars and Workshops (http://www.grantcentral.com/workbooks/) to use for reference during and outside the workshop.
Who Should Attend:
- Senior postdoctoral fellows who are from groups historically and currently underrepresented in science
- Junior faculty members who are from groups historically and currently underrepresented in science
- Faculty members who are from minority serving institutions
Cost:
The registration fee for the workshop is $50. This fee includes a workbook.
